Pulse Queen Unboxing Video
Introduction to the Pulse Queen Review
Hot Octopuss approached me with the question if I wanted to review the Pulse Queen, and of course, curious as I am, I said yes! I’ve only tested one Hot Octopuss toy before, the Digit, and that was ages ago. I really liked that one, so I couldn’t wait to see what this one would do. And I’m intrigued by the technology: the Pulse Queen uses their new PulsePlate technology, which works differently from the toys I know best, like Womanizer and Satisfyer. So let’s check it out!

First Impressions: Unboxing the Pulse Queen
The Pulse Queen looks and feels like a premium product the moment you open the box. The vibrator sits in an eco-friendly cardboard insert that is shaped to the toy and to the rest of the contents, so everything has its place and nothing rattles around, and no plastic tray in sight. It is a nice little moment of unboxing.

In the box you get the Pulse Queen, a travel pouch, a charging cable, an instruction booklet and a warranty sheet.

What Is the Pulse Queen? PulsePlate Technology Explained
The Pulse Queen is a clitoral wand with Hot Octopuss’s PulsePlate technology: an oscillating plate, where the Womanizer and Satisfyer use air pressure. According to the manufacturer it has a 9-speed oscillator and 7 vibration modes with adjustable frequency, it is made of silicone and ABS, weighs 175 grams and measures about 18 cm long. It is rechargeable and waterproof. At the time of writing (October 2026), the listed price on the Dutch Hot Octopuss site was €119.95.

How the Pulse Queen Feels
I only used the continuous vibration, and I kept it away from the most intense setting. That top setting is far too much for me. At the lower and middle settings the strength and the pulsing feel good, and it was a pleasant toy to use. I can imagine that the stronger settings might be great for some people, but I did not enjoy them.

Is the Pulse Queen Loud?
This is where the Pulse Queen lost points. The manufacturer lists the noise at under 45 dB. I did not measure it, but to my ears it is extremely loud, nowhere near whisper quiet. You can hear it for yourself in the sound test in my unboxing video. I don’t have to hide my usage, so it isn’t a problem for me. But if you share a home with other people and need to be discreet, I would not recommend this toy.
Battery and Charging
I don’t test battery life in my reviews, so I can’t tell you anything from my own use. The manufacturer says up to 40 minutes of use and about 2.5 hours of charging.
Who Is the Pulse Queen For?
I would recommend the Pulse Queen to experienced users who want a different kind of toy. It felt pleasant, and it may work for beginners too, but it could feel intimidating at first, because of the size and the intensity range.
Verdict: Is the Pulse Queen Worth It?
The Pulse Queen gets the job done and feels pleasant, and the packaging and finish feel premium. For the price (about €120 when I wrote this) I expected a quieter toy. If noise doesn’t matter to you, it’s worth a look.
