Introduction
It wasn’t just the brand, CalExotics, or the bright yellow colour that drew my attention when I first encountered this product online. When I read that the San Diego Seduction has ‘ten functions of sensual tapping and intense gyration in the stimulator’ as well as ‘three speeds of thumping pulsation’, you know that either a marketing employee had a fun day or CalExotics developed another innovative product. The San Diego Seduction is the second toy I test from the California Dreaming series. I was pretty pleased with the ‘Palm Springs Pleaser Flexible Vibrator,’ and I’m curious to see if and how I’m going to enjoy the San Diego one. Especially when I turned it on and saw all the moveable parts 😉
Packaging and Description
The San Diego Seduction comes in carton packaging with a plastic see-through window. The images on the box are, I guess, from San Diego and overlayed with a pastel gradient. The style fits the product perfectly, and the bright yellow colour of the toy makes it pop out. Next to the functions I described above, the vibrator also has a memory chip, so you can resume the last function used. The toy is waterproof and rechargeable. The shaft of the vibrator is 12 centimetres long and 3.25 centimetres in width, while the stimulator on top is 5.75 cm by 2.5 cm. Including the handle, the toy is 21 centimetres long. Aside from the silicone covering, the vibrator also has gold-coloured plastic decorations.
The San Diego Seduction has three buttons. The middle button controls the shaft. The bottom button controls the stimulator’s function and lets you cycle through the ten modes. You can shut off all processes with the top button and lock the toy for travelling. The controls are easy to learn and work well once you figure out which does what.
The manual in the box is pretty sparse and only summarises how the toy works and its charging times. It says the toy has 2,5 hours of charging time; it can run 35 minutes on high and 90 minutes on low.
If you’re looking for a quiet toy, this is not it. It’s not extremely loud, but the three motors and their mechanisms do produce some sound.
I recommend the unboxing video I recorded so you can hear the sound level and see how the toy moves. It looks quite intriguing.
My Experience
When I tested the toy ‘dry,’ as in my hands to see how it worked, I was both curious and a little anxious about how it would feel. My body is quite sensitive, and the motions seem pretty rough. And yes, I have been hurt by sex toys before. But once I tried the San Diego Seduction, I learned that I needn’t have worried. The motions that seemed so grand and wild when not in use were a lot smaller when applied during masturbation. I particularly enjoyed the stimulator’s sensations. The G-spot thumping was pleasant but not that clear for me to identify. Together, these stimulations were very pleasant and brought me to orgasm easily.
Conclusion
CalExotics has done it again. They have developed an innovative toy with this San Diego Seduction, which has many features but didn’t go over the top. I’m happy to see new features in a standard model vibrator. You’d think we have seen it all by now, in 2022, but luckily companies are still developing and adding new techniques to a tried concept. Since it looks and feels quite intimidating, I wouldn’t recommend this product for beginners. But for anyone looking for a new experience, I’d definitely recommend the San Diego Seduction. But be warned, it’s not your regular simple buzzing vibrator.
