Supermarket Surprise
Anything can be kinkified. It’s hard to find good BDSM toys and especially affordable ones, so we’re always on the look-out for things we could use. Especially implements like whips and paddles are hard to find. You either have to go to a BDSM-store, but their prices are high, or you have to visit a kinky fair with specialised vendors.
Several times we bought a toy online that just wasn’t it. Even the ones we bought in sex shops were not to our liking. Often they’re too thin, too flimsy, too small or just overall unpleasant. But then one day, while grocery shopping in Germany, a cutting board caught our eye. Maybe this cutting board could act as a paddle. It does indeed.
Packaging and Description
The cutting board is made of acacia wood. Its dimensions are 42 x 18 cms. It’s 1,5 cm in depth. The surface is smooth, and there are no sharp edges. There’s a convenient handle, and it’s pretty heavy with its 500 grams. That’s pretty much it. There’s not much more to describe really. It’s a chopping board you can use to cut your onions or to serve your cheese. Or to spank your sub’s bottom.
My Experience
By now, we have used this paddle numerous times. It’s actually one of my favourites. That’s because the pain it applies is quite bearable. I think the most I received with it in one session, was eighty swats. It definitely hurts, no doubt about it, but because the shape wasn’t made for spanking, it’s not optimal. And I like that about this paddle. It gives a dull, broad pain that lives a pleasant glow. I feel punished when this is administered to me, but it’s not so bad that I have to squirm and turn away from the beginning. It does help that my husband is quite strong since I don’t think anyone would be able to handle this cutting board as a paddle. It’s a tad too heavy for most, I reckon.
Conclusion
Overall, I love this toy and especially considering the price we paid for it, which was seven Euros for two. This paddle is my favourite because it does give me the pleasure of being spanked, it does hurt, but it doesn’t send me straight to tears. So if you live near an Aldi and enjoy giving or receiving spankings, keep an eye out for this cutting board. They have it around twice a year. I bought mine in Germany, but since then I’ve seen it appear in shops here in the Netherlands too. It’s a definite recommend for me.
